  1. Paint formulations DON'T CHANGE!!! That's why they have a SPECIFIC paint CODE, so the mix/formulation is the same to replicate the factory color. It is a VERY subtle metallic and not as obvious as many other black metallics. I know for certain it has metallic in it because I bought a pint to mix with clear to tint my lights on my Camaro and when sprayed it has metallic in it.
  2. It is the SAME code 41 WA8555 as my 2002 Camaro which IS metallic! GBA also cross references to WA848 GENERAL MOTORS USA BLACK WA848 1978 1996 METALLIC A total of ten exterior paint options are offered, including (relevant paint code included in parentheses): Cardinal Red (G7C) Cayenne Red Tintcoat (GSK) Desert Sand Metallic (GTL) Dynamic Blue Metallic (GLT) Onyx Black (GBA) Pacific Blue Metallic (GA0) Quicksilver Metallic (GAN) Summit White (GAZ) Titanium Rush Metallic (G6M) White Frost Tintcoat (G1W) The only exterior color that does not include an extra charge is Summit White. Color availability depends on the trim level selected. For a more complete breakdown of color availability for the refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500, check out the table below: 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Paint Color Availability Paint Code Extra Charge Pro SLE Elevation SLT AT4 AT4X Denali Denali Ultimate Cardinal Red G7C Yes A A A - - - - - Cayenne Red Tintcoat GSK Yes - - A A A A A - Desert Sand Metallic GTL Yes - - A - A A - - Dynamic Blue Metallic GLT Yes - - A - A A - - Onyx Black GBA Yes A A A A A A A A Pacific Blue Metallic GA0 Yes A A - A - - A A Quicksilver Metallic GAN Yes A A A A A A A A Summit White GAZ No A A A A A A A - Titanium Rush Metallic G6M Yes - A A A A A A A White Frost Tintcoat G1W Yes - - - A - - A A
  3. My 2002 Camaro SS is Onyx black and it has metallic in it. The paint code for it is WA8555/41. It looks like the Denali is the same but they've added the 3 character paint code GBA which is also 41/WA8555.
  4. You ****** on his request in the 2022 refresh thread and you ****** on him here twice with the same hate. I'm glad I don't live in the state where you're a cop! It's called customization and those of us that enjoy it, love to do little things like this to make our rides stand out, even if you don't think it's any different. I have a Custom TB and the "base" door panels and this would be a cool upgrade, but probably not worth the cost for me. Stop hating on people for doing what they want to their vehicles. I mean why did you waste money on chrome 22's when your truck came with a perfectly fine set of wheels and tires from the factory?
  5. You shouldn't have to have it aligned unless you put the wheel on in a different place than where the stock one was. You should have put the wheel as straight as possible and mark it before you take it off to make the new one go on in the same place.
  6. So is yours you did the swap on a 1500 or a 2500/3500?
  7. Are the lights not coming on or is just the indicator on the cluster not coming on? Apparently some dealers have issues programming them properly so the lights will come on but the indicator in the cluster doesn't light up. Were they factory fogs? I added GM Accessory fogs and they wire to the BCM, to the fuse box under the hood and to the lights.
  8. Too bad they say Sierra or I'd be all over them.
  9. You'll also have to pay them to program the BCM once you install them. I paid about $325 for the factory kit and the dealer wanted another $150 to make them work. I instead used a Fleece high 6 and tapped the parking light wire to the added fog light wire so the fogs come on with the parking lights.
  10. You realize that 140/130 or whatever ft/lbs of torque can be generated with one arm if you have any muscles at all right? You are NOT going to feel that in a massive truck compared to not having it. The Hemi is a torque heavy motor as it is. Throw in 3.92 gears and it's got even more torque.
  11. It's the width that's going to cause it to rub slightly at full lock.
  12. Are you lifted? You're probably going to rub. I put on 20x10 -19 wheels and had to add a 5mm spacer to clear the calipers and I get a very slight rub on the mud flap on the front. I'm running stock size 275/60/20 tires. I have a set of Rough Country flares going on and they require the removal of the mud flap so it should go away once I get them on. If it doesn't I have a 2" lift for the front waiting to go on.
  13. I didn't realize that site had a visualizer for offset! I found it a while ago and have been using it to find diameter and comparison to other sizes. I hadn't looked at anything for wheels.
  14. I have yet to see any aftermarket wheel that will fit stock lugnuts because they are so large. You need smaller lugnuts. I haven't seen any of the Fuels with this type of cap off to see how large the lug holes are. Stock lugnuts are 22mm. If you need to buy new ones, they are M14x1.5 thread.
  15. I saw my first one in person at a dealer lot tonight but it was sold. It was all black but the wheels didn't look like they were gold, just machine silver. It was kind of dark where it was sitting so maybe it was bad lighting. I see they got rid of the mud flaps. The blue one in all the press intro had them. Now they're just caps. I don't believe the one I saw had the silver skid plate, but maybe I missed it looking at other things. I don't know what the little thin rectangular lights in the grill are for. They look out of place. The hood IS different on the ZR2 and Trail Boss versions as there was a refresh Custom there and it's hood is the same as mine, but the ZR2 has more of a dual channel line with the "scoop" sitting on top of it. I don't like it nearly as much in person as I thought I did in pictures. I was thinking of trying to put one on my truck, but will be skipping it now. I just want the shocks at this point! The interior looked nice but was too dark to really get a good look at it all. I'd take the seats for sure! Are yours the massaging seats or are those an option?
  16. Yes it will. You have to reach your fingers through the opening and pop the clips off and it comes right out. I went the opposite way. I removed the Z71 and put a black Bowtie there instead. I thought that was part of the Z71 package. I guess only the Custom Trail Boss'?
  17. 1992 Chevy truck teal is the color I picked for my dad's 1946 Chevy Aerosedan street rod.
  18. Nobody can seem to confirm anything with seats. Someone said 2021 the seats were changed slightly, but I don't know how as they look identical to the 19-20 seats. Some people claim the higher trim models have nicer seats. I haven't sat in any to know. Someone else also claimed their new refresh 22 had better seats than their older T1 truck. People complained about how bad the seats were and I took my first long road trip ~6 hours a few weeks ago and I didn't have any pains and I'm one to have back pains just twisting in bed wrong! I think they're stiffer than my 08 Avalanche leather seats but those are power and power lumbar as well as heated. I have leather to go in my Custom to replace the cloth as well as seat heaters. I'm also going to install a Rostra lumbar unit at least on the driver side. The passenger can suffer! LOL. Are your seats power? Power wasn't an option for the Custom in 21 and was added in 22. I've been looking on and off for a power seat to replace mine as it can be fine tuned better than the manual adjust I have now.
  19. Didn't you already get in trouble with the law for your previous exhaust setup?
  20. I didn't want to drill either so I did the same thing and got reducer barbs and run the smaller hose through the existing holes. I have the factory spray in liner and I don't want to cause rust enlarging or drilling new holes. The hose with the Retrax is too thick/large to fit into the existing holes. I tried and gave up. I tried to redo the hose and just use the smaller hose and try to stretch it to fit on the Retrax plastic pieces that snap into the bottom of the metal housing. That didn't work out either. For some reason now, I was able to just slip fit the smaller hose inside the Retrax hose then through the holes. I had issues with the hose coming off the Retrax nipple since it is just a slip fit with the brass reducer hanging on it. I didn't have any hose clamps the right size to put on it. I'll have to pick some up or try to find a thinner diameter hose that fits the Retrax nipple that can be shoved through the bed floor holes. This is the only picture I have from the original install and it's hard to see the hoses.
  21. Surprised no one has mentioned the AVS AeroCab lights. They have textured plastic and now black, silver and white painted options. I picked up the textured plastic piece without lights stupid cheap on ebay. I found an LED light strip for Tundras that is about the right length that has the 5 sections like the AVS piece and am considering putting that on. https://www.autoventshade.com/aerocab-color-match-marking-light/2021/chevrolet/silverado-1500
  22. The rust thing is what is keeping me from getting them. It will keep stones from chipping it up but it will hold the salt in them and cause the rockers to rust. You can get them for about $165 directly on Lund's site when I looked a couple weeks ago.
  23. Even though my brother in law works for Ford, I couldn't bring myself to buy one. I looked at Rangers for a minute when I was originally looking to buy a Colorado. I was looking at a Jeep Gladiator because it would do a lot of things, but when I decided if I'm going to finance something for 6+ years I want to be able to haul a car trailer with a vehicle on it and not over tax the truck. That ruled out the Gladiator. I hate the Ford Ecoboost crap. They sound like crap. To me Ford's have looked pretty much the same for the last 15+ years. They haven't done any radical departure in design like the 19+ GMs. I would have went with a Ram with a regular Hemi, not that etorque crap. The 3.6 V6 was decent in the 2011 Durango I had but not as a full size truck motor. 6.4 would be nice but have to jump up to a 2500 for that.
  24. It's the "luxurious" part that that GMC kept them. It keeps the mud off your truck when you drive through a puddle. The ZR2 is expected to be used like it was intended. GMCs are going to be bought just for bragging rights and not actually used. People will buy the X because the shocks make all the difference in the world for ride comfort. I want to know if they can be retrofitted to a 19-22 refresh Trail Boss.
