Reply in that thread. He cut the wiring off in his picture of the relays and it's all red wires going into the junction strip. Otherwise I could tell you better what he did. I THINK I know, but can't tell for sure without tracing the wires back to the relays. It looks like he's basically using two sources to trigger the relays and power the lights. This could have been done with a single relay and two diodes for the inputs. I did this on my backup cube lights I added to my trailer hitch. I have them double sourced to the reverse lights and cargo light inputs using diodes to prevent backfeeding the circuits and combined them to the input of the relay. I'm not sure how the lights are setup that he is using one relay to make them white and the other to be whatever color is chosen. I'd have to see what the light wiring has for options. That thread DID help me find where I can tap to add the flat LED squares I want to add to the overhead console since the factory lights are so damn dim! I really didn't want to try to solder onto the board to add lights.

Hmm interesting. On my 08 Avalanche it is an aluminum badge(circle) that is held on with 4 bent over tabs on the back side of the airbag cover. I was able to pull the cover off and not disturb the airbag and swap it out for a red SS emblem.

Sounds like your update isn't complete. Mine did it for 3 times and I was like what the heck is going on. Then it popped up to install the update. Once the update completed successfully it went back to normal operation. There is a setting on the radio for download updates in the background. Mine is turned on. I'm not sure how it would act with it turned off. I'm guessing it would prompt to download and download the whole thing right then.

I have the crash avoidance on my 21 Custom as part of the Safety Confidence package. I had to Dremel part of the bottom of the mirror mount because it interfered with the camera. It didn't take much and was able to put the plastic surrounds back on with no issues. The mirror I used was one from a truck with the towing package. I don't know what the part number is offhand. I found it on ebay for $45 and won the auction at that price.

For the most part, the OEM emblems are made in China already. Since there are no copyright laws in China, they sell them without the OEM packaging for much cheaper. The current gen emblems are all plastic so there isn't much difference between OEM and aftermarket. I had red outline 6.2L emblems on my hood for a year until I removed them to mix it up with a red stripe and black 6.2L emblems. I also bought redline Silverado and Custom emblems and they appear identical to the chrome ones already on the truck. The issue is if you get painted emblems or ones with enamel inlays. I ran into issues with HEMI emblems on my 05 Dodge Magnum R/T and fading.

The hood is the same on all models except the Trail Boss and ZR2. The fenders are the same, just the front "sideburns" from the old models are different. The bumpers and grilles are different as well as the headlights. I don't know if the core supports are different or not. I have no idea on the light setups since the refresh trucks all went to a different global architecture for the electrical systems. So even if you could physically bolt them up, you might not be able to make them work properly electrically.

Rough Country sells a plug in module that you enter the stock and new tire sizes via computer and it adjusts the computer accordingly. You can spend a lot more on a Pulsar LT and that also has the option of changing tire sizes and several other things. I picked up an open box Rough Country module off ebay for about $80 off retail. I had seen too many weird issues/complaints about the Pulsar for me to want to spend over $500 for it and it doesn't give you any performance gain, just throttle adjustment.

Is that a true AT4 regular short cab? All we get in the US is the lame regular cab short bed and only engine option is the 4 banger turbo. I want at least a 5.3 and would love it in the bright blue.

You couldn't order it from GM that way, but from what the exhaust dumps look like, it looks the same as factory exhaust with the tips in the bumper. The tips don't actually clamp to the exhaust, they just blow into the tips bolted to the bumper. You should be able to swap a Trail Boss LT bumper on that has the sensor holes and have the exhaust through the bumper.

What were your tires? The tread pattern makes all the difference in the world as to noise. There's a whole science to it so it has desired traction and wear characteristics along with noise.

Most low trims DO NOT HAVE the lower storage compartment, only the upper arm rest opens. My 21 Custom doesn't have bottom storage. It was shown in the picture above and the OP as well as myself do not have that.

I've had mine in for a couple months and upgraded the halogen H7's they come with to LEDs before I installed them. I used Lasfit LC Plus Series H7s. I tried to order a different model from Lasfit and they asked what it was for and I sent them a link to the headlights since they are not stock lights and they said the model bulb I had chosen wouldn't work and said the LC Plus Series would work. They fit fine and I've had no issues with them so far.

The high trim level 19-22LTDs have it as well. I don't know the rhyme or reason for which trims got it or why.

If a dealer won't accept supplier pricing, then find another dealer. I had the dealer I bought my 02 Camaro SS from say they didn't have to accept my supplier pricing when I wanted to hear the SLP exhaust that was on the car and it was in the showroom.

You can still roll them down via keyfob in the Custom. Hit unlock twice and hold the second time and it will roll all 4 down.

There's two bolts on the backside of the steering wheel that hold the airbag on. You can see if they're tight. I wouldn't take it off without disconnecting the battery and let it set for ~20 minutes to make sure there's no juice left in the system to set it off.

A lot of the GM incentives are listed but not everyone can qualify for them. I bought mine last year in May. I have GM Supplier pricing so it's a set price based on invoice. There was a GM discount but I found out it isn't when you sign a contract with a dealer, it's when you take delivery. I wound up getting $500 less because the incentives changed between April and May from $2,000 down to $1,500. A lot of times the trim levels they list are the ONLY ones that the discounts apply to, like a certain trim with the 4 cylinder, or those are manufacturer sticker discount packages, not direct to consumer rebates.

Wonder if it's 15-20 2500 and 3500?

Bout damn time GM came out with the auto learn. The 2011 Dodge Durango I had had this and it was great. No screwing around relearning. Drive about 2-5 miles and it would relearn on it's own. Sensors were cheap too.

Hmm. Wonder if they did something different with the refresh trucks. The tool worked with my ex wife's 2013 GMC Acadia, my 08 Avalanche and my 21 Trail Boss. Not sure what the PNs were for the sensors I have. I just ordered some off ebay that said they were OEM.

Any 433mhz sensors will work. Previous gen trucks were 315mhz. Annoyed me because the stupid tire shop destroyed my tires when I took new sensors to them to put in the aftermarket wheels and tires I had on my 08 Avalanche. Not to mention they scraped my new wheels all up. You can purchase dual frequency sensors that will pair with either. A cheap $10 tool from ebay or Amazon will work to pair them to your truck once you put it in pairing mode as described in the owners manual.

Highly doubt it's plug and play since it requires a different headlight switch with the task light button. For adding fog lights on my Custom you have to have the BCM programmed to enable them. I'm guessing the same would be required of the task lights.
