Yes been done several times. You need to head over to the Facebook group Gen V LTx 14-18 GM Trucks SUV L83 L86 LT1 and look for a post by Sean Hamilton from Feb 1st. Basically he makes a kit, harness, tcm, ecm and tune. You need the doner trans and transfer case as they are different from the 6 and 8 speed trucks.

You are experiencing the torque converter shudder, pretty common apparently, my 16 has or had it and the only fix they will do is change the fluid in the trans once and that is it for now. For me I felt like I was running over rumble strips when I lightly accelerated. Mine hasn't come back as of now. Apparently there is a more permanent fix coming first quarter 2019.

My 2016 Silverado does this also so your not alone here.

My main key fob to my old 2014 looked similar it actually looked like a layer of the rubber was coming off, no abuse was ever given to it like grinding it on pavement or throwing it, just normal lock and unlock and remote starts and then back into my pocket for the day or night, never washed or anything, I also do not use my finger nails either, I keep them trimmed pretty close. Just slowly wore off.

I would say it is normal, I have a 2016 Silverado LT 5.3 as a loaner till they get my 2016 I ordered finished and it snaps alive at first right at tip in then it totally falls on it's face, I have to then step on it 1/2 or so throttle in order for it to actually take off, more than likely all in the tuning. I am driving it like my old 2014 6.2 that was tuned and the amount of throttle I gave my 14 at take off this thing barely moves. I can't wait to get some miles on my truck when I get it so I can get it tuned and be like a real truck.

Well if your like me and the truck is parked in the garage all the time then it would be a benefit as I have HID's as it dark enough for it to trip the headlight sensor to make it think it is dark out. I just leave them on when it is parked in the garage, but when it sits out I turn them off.....when I remember to.

It really makes no difference, it is the OCD in me that wants the connector, it is just a square housing to hold the spade connectors, of which you would have to get special spade connectors to use the GM connector as that part number only has one wire with one spade connector included. I just prefer the factory look is all.

You can use spade connectors, I just prefer to use the connector

That's nice finally, I checked with them 2 weeks ago and they had no plans to put it into production, so looks like that is what I will be putting on my truck once it arrives.
