    Never found anything better than Heating and air condition vent tape , the silver aluminum .stuff. I have taped keys under the fenders, hood trim , and had to cut it out with a pocket knife when I sold the truck , or need it. You see I watched My late father hunting in the back woods lock his keys in his sharp 79 chevy PU, and before I could say dad don't, he popped the window. So call me crazy I always have a spare someplace on the truck. Screw technology

    I'm for sure no computer wiz , but if there is a sensor telling the computer the air flow is interrupted. If the Dams are removed, And this throws a code. There has to be a high performance application out there that programs for full air flow.

    If the shutter delete is what your after? Why can't you leave the shutter motor, or motors , in place, Also sensor's if any exist.And just remove the flaps . The move-able dam that blocks the air? Seems like this should not throw any codes ???, And give you what your looking for.

    Nope its not 2 sided tape, there are little tabs that the color portion fits into the projector part. if the tabs break off the color part will come loose. They will try to tape it but it will not hold. A fix is a zip tie through the tab (small Zip Tie) securing the two piecies together. Or replace the painted piece.

    Just pull the belt as per the manual , or YouTube start your vehicle . narrow the source of the noise down.

    If you think its coming from the belt or the idler pulley . Pull the belt and start it to see if the noise is there !

    This is My 17 , Its the same Fisher set up that was on my 99 silverado, I keep updating , and painting, Mind you I don't do a lot of Plowing anymore , But at one time my account's numbered 30-35 residential . This last refit from my 11 to the 17, Side-plates were the same. just needed 1 wiring harness. I do the installs. I know mine does hang lower, but for me that does not justify the cost of new. Now if a v-plow would work on the 1/2 ton short box regular cab, that I would consider.

    Tailor the truck to your needs, dial the engine to your needs. If your desert driving,towing uphill 0w-20 ,Just ain't gonna give you the protection your looking for. Millage Really Towing? 5w-30 for a starting point. . Any of these trucks showing pics of there Oil Pressure Gauges thinking they are accurate gauges , crazy ,not much better than old school dummy light.

    Just my idea, and your truck looks great ! Light bar is my next mod. But thinking much rather remove the shutters keeping them intact. place the light bar behind the grill ,without cutting it. Fab brackets . Keeping the shutter motor in place so no codes. Just my idea.

    Exhaust manifold leak usually at manifold to exhaust system joint, Start your truck , get your hand close to the joint, you will hear, and feel the leak if that's the source.

    Think your right. I just contacted Rough country , They tell me there light bar will not fit behind the grill with the active shutters,. I need to remove in order for fitment.

    Has anyone installed a in grill light bar (led) , and wired them to go on with there high beams on the 2017 Silverado, DS5 high intensity LED bulbs???? Wondering if it would work out. Low beams are live-able with the aftermarket 35w . But the high beams still are terrible. No I don't want to re-wire the fog lights . I am kinda looking for distance lighting in the high beam mode. Would it be putting to much of a draw on the system, overload the wire gauge size?? Just an idea I have been kickin around

    Truck was new, no marks. have 9000 miles. Marks both lenses , cant tell me this is normal. And yes the lights are off , the marks are there. They are the High intensity LED

    Bad ground somewhere in the trailer. Some trailer's the ball will make the ground circuit. Not so, needs a dedicated ground on the trailer, The lighter the ground wiring diameter gauge. The weaker ground is produced.
