  1. The delivery is under contract with GM, the dealer has no right to the vehicle, until its delivered to their door and signed off, its the property of GM under contract with the shippers. When the trucking companies were on strike years ago the manf. had to sue them in court to get access to vehicles in the trucking companies possession and that dragged out for a long time. They have the vehicle, they are paid to deliver it and are not going to let the dealer take their jobs away.
  2. fyi..............
  3. Maybe those are exports?
  4. I was talking with order manager/new car for local Chevy/GMC/Buick dealer (business acquaintance) yesterday and he was telling me right now they are taking what Chevy/GMC is telling them they can have. Basically pattern trucks that GM builds for inventory and the only thing they can really specify is color and that's not a guarantee.
  5. Note, the note, They require 5 orders before they will build any....
  6. I cannot recall where I found this.
  7. Shipping companies are experiencing unprecedented demand, transit delays and personnel shortages.. I been waiting for weeks to get a replacement door panel for my 16ft garage door and the local installer said its been taking months to get parts that used to take a week at most. Some things are just not important in the grand scheme of things and there is no priority to move them. That's just the way it is with the current state of affairs. Vehicle movements are not high priority.
  8. Some 2021 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 trucks equipped with the 5.3L V8 engine (RPO L82) and 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission (RPO MYC) or the 5.3L V8 engine (RPO L84) (Fig. 19) and 8L90 8-speed automatic transmission (RPO MQE) may not have the Active Fuel Management/AFM (L82 engine) or Dynamic Fuel Management/DFM (L84 engine) feature. Beginning in March 2021, trucks produced without AFM or DFM are identified with RPO YK9 – Not Equipped with Cylinder Deactivation. TIP: Any truck with RPO YK9 cannot be reprogramed and changed to turn on or activate the AFM/DFM functionality.
  9. General Motors Lansing Grand River Plant Shutdown To Affect Production Of 5,100 Units The plant shutdown was brought on by the ongoing semiconductor supply shortage, which has been affecting automotive production across the globe in recent weeks. Automakers like GM are battling with the consumer electronics and medical equipment industries for access to microchips as suppliers in China, Taiwan, Korea and elsewhere try to ramp up production and keep up with growing demand.

  11. I agree, dexos spec'd oils are minimum requirement, it doesn't mean by any means they are indeed the absolute best.
  12. Did a couple years ago and regretted it. The were ATV and the ad said they were radial tires as what came on the Honda. Tires they sent were not. Each tire was shipped separately by UPS. So they authorize I can exchange them but I can only get 1 return label and UPS would not accept all 4 tires with one label as no way to track them if they become separated. I had to pay to ship 3 back. So moral of the story, go to local tire shop and pay their price, probably cheaper in the long run. Another high cost online tire purchase, friend order 4 tires from Tire Rack who had a local dealer installer. The local dealer took him for $175 to mount and balance the tires, $100 more or less then he could bought same tire from the GY dealer.
  13. The best oil is the one you buy...because that is your choice. What is important to you may not be as important to others. Whats the best gas? Whats the best Beer? Whats the best potato chips? Whats the best coffee?
  14. LPO, Assist steps - 4" Black - round, (dealer-installed) They are shipped to the dealer so as to arrive just in time. They do not come from the assembly plant and won' delay the vehicle build. A Limited Production Option (LPO) is a preordered option that includes a single accessory or a collection of accessories that are part of a special package.
  15. Only the selling dealer has complete access to the GM system. GM chat can only see the event codes like any dealer could given the order number. The people at GM chat probably never seen a GM vehicle in person, they are IT professionals answering questions with limited info. They cannot see dealer business records with GM so you are expecting too much for basically receptionists hired to run interference between GM and the customers. Btw. every interaction you have with GM chat is logged so they know your ip address and I am sure the system tells them how many times you inquired etc. 4300 Intermediate Delivery, listed when a vehicle is sent to an outside the plant vendor such as spray-in Bedliner or an upfitter or to another staging yard etc. If its bayed for quality control the status is; · 4D00 Vehicle on Hold

  17. I recall seeing that but never read through the description as it said it was a hitch cover.
  18. Its new, even the local Curt dealer was unaware of it....My brother, lives in Cleveland (Wis), found a Curt dealer in Green Bay who installed one on his GMC so I sought out a local dealer. But it looks like an easy install, took <30 min. When I looked online it said back-ordered but I see that's no longer the case.
  19. I had a Curt tailgate sensor installed on my truck so the gate won't drop when a hitch is in the receiver.
  20. The GM dealer (local) has a dedicated machine that siphons out the diff and TC fluids.
  21. DL3 Mirrors – These mirrors are the “Premium” mirrors typically found on your higher trim 2014-2018 LTZ/High Country and SLT/Denali trucks. These mirrors are: Heated, Power Adjust, Power Fold, Turn Signal, Puddle Lamps, and Auto Dim (Driver’s Side). Complete with OEM wire harness. Used take-offs in very good condition. They are chrome. These came off a 2017 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 Crew Cab Pickup (upgraded to Tow Mirrors by GMC dealer). $300 Including Shipping* (*Exclusions apply) These are the mirrors on the truck they came off of.
  22. Some if it was sucked out in the can. You don't say what year make model and mileage. Oil used could be normal. Some AFM engines consume oil at a high rate and often it comes on suddenly.
