Adding Garage Door Opener To 09 Silverado W/ Power Rear Window

Hey guys. I was searching the forum to see what part I need to add the option for the Garage Door Opener to my 09 Silverado. I dont have a garage actually but want to use it with my X-10 lights in my house. I do not have a sunroof but I DO have a power rear sliding window. I found a post that stated part 25848604 might work but before I order it I wanted to confirm that since it is not returnable:

The post refers to part 25801421 but seems to have been superseded by 25848604.

 

Had anyone done this upgrade? Does it come with the buttons as well or do I have to get them separate? Or even better, does anyone have a VIN number I could borrow to give to GMPartsDirect since they are hesitant to do anything without one?

I looked into doing this and found out that the cost was very prohibitive. I found one on ebay for 25 and it was a plug and play. Replaced the entire overhead with one from a yukon. It has buttons for the sunroof, power fold seats, and rear liftgate that my silverado does not have but the unit is the exact same. search ebay for silverado homelink. Another option is to add the homelink system to your sunvisors. Dont waste time and money trying to build an overhead console from a parts listing. Dave
