Question About Installing Component Speakers

I'm installing some 6-1/2" componet db's in the front door. As of now I'm using the stock head unit. Will I be able to use the stock wiring? Do the stock speakers have the crossovers built into them? I guess what I'm getting at is are the stock wires coming into the front doors full bandwidth? Or is there some external crossover somewhere back in the harness?

If the GMT900 trucks are like the 95-07 trucks, then yes, the wires inside the doors are carrying a full-range signal. The midbass has no crossover whatsoever and the tweeter has a small in-line capacitor nearby it.
