i know im posting a lot.... but i wanna know more about my truck after a year and a half and 35000 miles i still dont know much. wat gears came with a ext cab with a 4.8

GT5 Rear Axle: 4.10 Ratio

GU4 Rear Axle: 3.08 Ratio

GU6 Rear Axle: 3.42 Ratio

G80 Rear Axle: Positraction

HC4 Rear Axle: 4.56 Ratio

HC7 Rear Axle: 5.13 Ratio

how do you tell what ring gear size you have? ( I did find it listed in another post)

but I am just curious as to how you tell with out pulling your cover

I have RPO codes GU6,G80 as well but you need to know what ring gear you have

to get your fluid capacity either 8.6 or 9.25 I think

If you have a normal 1500, you have the 8.6" rear and 8.25" front IFS (it has 10 bolts on the differential cover).
