Usa Spec Pa11 Install

Hey everyone. Finally on the 'finishing' stages of my truck before i drive it, but started tonight hooking up my usa spec ipod adapter on my 03 Silverado. Hooked it up to and ipod touch to verify it works, and it does . But should i try to mount the little white box (unit) behind the stereo?, as there is plenty of room and cable. Or should i just lay the white unit in the glove box? Then make a nice piece of wood or something to screw it into and hold it nicely? What have you guys done?

 

Also, i see there are 4 dipswitches on the side of the unit, what are they for? Do any of those control if the song title shows up on my radio? I hope they do, but i have my doubts, but if the song title did, that would be sweet!

Haven't used USAspec in the truck, by did in a Honda.

 

The dipswitches change the manner in which you can control the iPod...via the Radio only or via the Ipod controls, both, etc.

 

I usually just zip tie the white box to something sturdy behind the radio. If it might rub, I'll wrap it in some foam tape. Good to go.
