2006 Silverado

Hello all.

I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion on what would look best on my silverado

I have a 2006 silverado 2500 hd ls short bed. White in color, i have mickey thompson classic 2 wheels, air lift on the rear. and factory 3 inch lift, a colgan bra. colgan mirror bras. bak flip tonnue cover, on the exterior and i want to put on N fab wheel to wheel side bars, i want the best possible look...

Here is where i need your help.

Would the stainless steel polished bars look the best or should i get black ones. i really dont know it spending an extra couple hundred bucks to paint them white would be a good idea. i live in utah, and anyone who knows the winters here know we use coal or salt on the roads and the paint chips would be terrible.. i had black on my old red silverado and the bars did not fair to well...

Please i would respect any comments from you.. after all if you take the time to answer the post.. you should all be respected..

Thanks for all your advice. in advance.

It seems to me that the stainless ones hold up better in the winter. My dad has had SS bars from day 1 on his 2003 Sierra and it has gone through 5 winters here now. Other than the shine being taken off where they are exposed to crud thrown from the tires, they are still holding up pretty well.

without seeing a pic I would say go stainless only because of the durabilty in your conditions.

Agreed :fume:
