Two-way Remote Start Question

I had the two-way remote start installed on my 2008 suburban 2500. The dealer told me the old, stock remote won't work any more, but I have read here some poeple can still use their original remotes. My truck did not have remote start before the two-way was installed. I reprogramed the stock remotes with the DIC and they worked ,but the two-way remote doesn't work. I reprogramed the two-way and the originals don't work, so it seems it is one or the other will work at one time. Do I need stock style with the remote start button? I would be nice to have 2 remotes and an extra two-way is about $100. Any help would be great. Thanks

I've got an 08 1500 which came with remote start. I have both the original and the new 2 way remotes working. Are you programming them all at the same time?

Yes I did it at the same time.

Not sure then, if you are programming them one after the other in the same programming session. Maybe you could borrow a stock remote with remote start from someone or your dealer just to try before you buy one.
