Slip Yoke Play And Weird Noise

2003 2500HD Gas 4X4 91K miles

1. How much up and down play should there be at the slip yoke on the rear shaft? I have quite a bit but no leak.

I took it to the dealer they said is fine as did another shop. Went to another shop they said needs rebuild.

 

2. When decelerating going down hill the torque converter seems to unlock and get a hissing noise from the transmission area. Tap the gas peddle and goes away. Only happens on down hills at around 50mph.

 

Any ideas? Is this kind of normal?

Any resolution to the downhill cost hissing? Mine does the same thing.

i have the same issue. anyone recommend a site to order the rebuild kit and updated snap rings? Also tailshaft replacement or is there a bushing that can be replaced? now its 5 year old lol
