Are 2001 Sierra C3 Headlights Hid Or Just Projector?

Need to replace my headlights due to broken brackets on the back of the housings froma previous impact. Figured I may as well get the Sierra C3 headlights (same as Denali?) if possible. I don't want to get aftermarket lights from eBay because if I ever need to replace one, I'll probably never be able to find the exact match. Also, unsure of the quality of those. I know the signal lights are different. I plan on keeping existing signals. But the headlights' outside shape appear to be the same. Hoping for direct fitment.

1) Are they the same as the Denali lights?

2) Are they actual HIDs that require a ballast or are they regular projectors?

3) Are they a direct fit to regular Sierras (same brackets, same wiring harness)?

I have a 2001 Sierra 3500.

Many Thanks!

same as a Denali...the bulbs are just inside a projector...yeah i know they look dim but change color as you hit bumps, agian because there inside a sphear.

low beam 9005ll (long life version)

high beam 9005

The harness is only differnt at the light because reg (non projector sierra) takes 9006 in low beam compared to the 9005. The lamps have differnt mounting brackets but you could easily swap to standard sierra lights they fit all the same..look at my picture album on my blue sierra i have denali projectors in a regular 04 sierra...i just had to buy a harness conversion kit that came with the aftermarket lamps.

the 9005 can be easily swaped for Hids i did it and its the best thing i did on mine. Even after numerous bulbs,....Nokia,Piaa,Street Glow...HIds were the way to go. I just put HIds in the low beams, cuz i have to switch alot between low and high...its bad for the ballist. So the PIaa's did fine in the high beam for me.

Watch out those ones on ebay for like $60 i had to return those about 5 times before getting a good set. There again others seem to never have problems i guess its luck of the draw. Old saying "if you pay penuts you get a monkey"
