Interior Squeek Noise

I have a 2009 2500 hd Crew Cab with 4500 miles on it. I have a noise in the interior. it sounds like the rubber is squeeking against the doors. Does any one have any suggestions on this problem.

The dealer actually replaced the door seals? That's interesting...

I took mine in for sqeeking doors about 2 months after I bought it and they put on some kind of "dry silicone" lube that worked for about a day. Since then, I've taken to smearing on some liquid silicone oil all over the rubber once every six months or so. It's the only thing that's worked so far. My '05 had squeeky doors and my Dad's '07 2500 crew cab does it worse than mine. I think it's just one of those GM things we have to tolerate.

The dealer in California tried that dry silicon lube twice then just replaced them because they seen it wasnt working. It is worth a try being that it is still under warranty. Just keep going back for the same issue and they will change them eventually I would hope.

My 09 Sierra ECSB with 1000 miles squeeks and rattles also. It was quiet when I first picked it up, the more miles, the louder it gets. Haven't brought it back to the dealership yet, but not sure they'll do anything.

I also have the ECSB body. The dealer first adjusted the doors then the dry lube and finally replaced the seals. I notice if I do not shut the rear doors good then it will make noise butonly if the rear doors are not shut correctly. The dealer should work with you on it.

My 09 Silverado ECSB also had that issue, but it occurred a few months after I got the truck. I simply got a spray can of silicon lube and applied it generously to all door seals - the noises stopped. I'll keep watch over this to see if it reoccurs again in 6 months

Just to add another idea: I also have a squeak in my interior when going over rough pavement. Had it pretty much since brand new.

I noticed that if I push my elbow into the interior driver door panel just below the glass toward the back of the door, the sound stops. The panel is not tight enough and squeaks whenever it rubs against whatever surface is behind/beside it. I'm slowly getting used to ignoring it.

Maybe this is the same issue you guys are talking about?

Yeah, it's the same squeaking door noise that alot of people are complaining about. Really just an annoyance more than anything and only at slow speeds around town. Silicone lube can help, but it always comes back to some degree.

As soon as you hit highway speeds, all's quiet. It's a function of cabin pressure...At highway speed, there is sufficient air pressure being forced into the cab by vehicle speed and it holds everything tighter...At least that's my take on it. Anyone else???

Sounds like it makes sense, this is the exact thing mine does (and many others I assume).

Yup, I've just chalked it up to an annoyance as well. Just to add to your cabin pressure idea, the inside should theoretically have a higher pressure (like you stated) since the outside air rushing around the outside of the vehicle body at high velocity would be lower pressure. Grumpy Aero Guy could probably clarify this better.
