Dexicool - Which Brand Is Better?

Hi All,

 

I did a search, and not too much info on what I am looking to do. We have a MF diesel compact (as well as a 35.) and are looking to do a coolant flush, and switch over to Dex. It has green in it now, and want to go Dex straight across the board.

 

What brand is the best? What do you recommend? Is there a diesel specific Dex?

What does MF recommend? Are you sure they have no problem using DEX. IIRC some gasket materials don't like DEX, at least maybe older gasket material. I might be mistaken on that though.

 

My rule of thumb has been stick with what it came with when it comes to coolant. I don't see much advantage to switching to DEX. I'm not leaving it in for 5 yrs.

Stay away from the Death Cool. It needs to be changed every couple of years any way. Just buy the good ole green stuff, and save some money.
