Braking Vibration

My brother has an 08 GMT900 Silverado and recently hot swapped his stock 20's for some 22s. Now when he goes to brake he gets a vibration in the rear of the truck. Depending on his speed and how hard he brakes, the vibration gets worse. The tires have roughly 10k miles on them, and his truck itself has 25k. The problem didn't exist before he put the new wheels on, and I did a search and found that the factory puts washers on there, but the thread I found that was for an 04...do they still have those on an 08?

He said there is no vibration coming from the front, no steering wheel jiggle or anything, its strictly the rear end. Should I just tell him to pull the wheel off and check for the washers?

Ok, well my brother pulled the wheels off...no washers on there, even swapped the wheels from the front to the back and visa versa, he still has the vibration while breaking...Any other suggestions?

you're positive there arent any washers on the wheel studs anywhere?

Do the wheels sit flush with the hub? Do they have centering rings? And lastly, are you using the correct lug nuts if they're not hub centric?

Yeah, he and two other guys went over all the wheels looking for washers. The wheels sit flush and its the same lug nuts that came off the other guys truck he has an 08 silverado as well. I believe he purchased his about 3 months before my brother and hes never had this problem. No centering rings either.

The clips are on the brake drums, not the wheels. Maybe that's what you meant but I wanted to make sure.
