5.3 Knock Sensor Replacement

I purchase one of my son's work trucks, a 2002 GMC Z71 with 200K miles, 5.3, 3.73 gears. Nice truck except for the check engine light. The code said it was a knock sensor, bank 2. The truck has lots of power, gets 16mpg around town with lots of stop and go driving, and generally runs great. Can I expect it to run any better replacing the sensors? Thanks Bob
