I bought some software to do my own custom tune on my truck and in the switches section it has the option to disable the LTFT. Does anybody know what this is about and would it benefit my tuning by disabling it? Thanks for all your help.

yeah, do not disable the LTFT's...

those are used and are needed for your part-throttle fueling and MAF sensor functionality in order to adjust the fueling dynamically in order to keep your stoich part-throttle AFR at 14.7...

now, unless you're going to get into tuning by the VE (volumetric efficiency) table, then you would disable them while you're tuning/tweaking that table to get things dialed in... then once you're done and have all of that correct, you would then need to re-enable the LTFT's in the tune file.

I "turned off" my LTFT's a while ago however I have a pretty lumpy cam and deep breathing heads. Without going into a long discussion on it, turning yours off will not add much benefit to your performance other than ensuring additional fuel is not dumped on top of your Power enrichment (Pe) fueling if your LTFT's are positive.
