For $189 you cant lose much!  It has 2.3 megapixel with a 2X zoom and USB.  It's HP and I have never regreted buying anything  Hewlett Packard made...I'm not saying they are the highest rated or the best deal but I have never been disappointed at all.  The digital I have is 1.3 Megapixel and the quality is very good and meets all my needs.....GO FOR IT!

Looks good, I'd check w/ ryan, that may be the same one he has.

If you want to spend some money, I'm borrowing my friends camera right now.  It's a 600 dollar camera and has a 320 meg storage card on it.  Really good pics, great camera.  I may have to buy a similar one when I get some money.

Right now I've got a HP camera, not quite as good as that one, but I like it.  Works good for photos of installs on the truck.

I have the HP318 and have since late december.  Very nice camera (check out the link in my sig most of the pics at the bottom were taken with this camera).  Has 3 settings for quality.  The lowest is very good the highest is awesome.

I got mine for $199 and think it was well worth it.

I would suggest getting one of those memory chip things and buy alot of batteries this camera loves to suck down the juice.  Im on my second set already.  I might buy some rehcargables one day.

I also bought a nice cheap case from walmart $7.99 and i really like it.

Let me know if you have any other questions

Thanks Ryan for you input. I think maybe by the end of the week Ill go ahead and get it.  Its between that or save for a stereo.  I plan on getting the rechargables and a case right know i can get that and then get all of the other stuff with my gift card the company gave me.

"I AGREE WITH NEWBIE ON THE HEWLETT PACKARD PART"

I am pretty partial to HP products, but then again, I used to work for them. Since they only use HP products on the site, I got a chance to see the whole gammut, and there were very few failures of any kind.

My camera is a Kodak DX3600 and I like it pretty well. I have a larger memory card and the batteries are a must. In my manual, it says not to use alkalines at all, and they won't support the camera if you do. Mine came with lithiums, and they're okay, but I am getting some NIMHs and a charger this weekend.

I don't know about accessories for the HP's, but I am getting some more lenses for my Kodak to get more "range" out of it for longer shots. If you can get something with a better zoom for not much more money, I'd go for it.  :)

No flames to anyone, but every HP product I've used or owned has crapped out within, or just past, it's warranty period.  Including cameras, copiers, CD/R writers, fax machines, etc.  And I do mean every one!!!

I've been eyeing the Kodak either DX3500 or DX3600.  The 3500 is only about $20 more than the HP.

BTW, the linkie no workie no more!!!  })
