2005 Sierra 2wd Leveling Kit

I bought a 2.5 in spring spacer kit for my 2WD 1500 Sierra

now it says i don't need longer shocks but that's because it comes with shock spacers. Now my buddy that has helped lift a few trucks says that shock spacers are a bad idea because they break easy. So would i even need to modify my shocks from stock and if i was to go with aftermarket shocks how could i find the right length for my truck? Or do you thing that there is nothing wrong with the shock spacers?

I hope to be doing a leveling kit on my '07 2wd, and If I were you... I would just run the spacers until something happens that you need new shocks anyways.

I called http://www.4wheelonline.com/ and they found a set of pro comp shocks and they were only $35 each
