2003 Gmc Sierra Passlock System?

Yesterday I started to pull out of my drive way, when the truck bogged down and eventually died. So I put it in neutral, let it roll backwards back into the driveway. When I tried to restart it, it had no power to the ignition switch. Then the fuel pump kicked on for about 10 seconds and went off.

 

Someone told me to do the sequence of switching the key to the start position, then to the on position, wait 15 minutes, and then turn it off for 10 seconds. And to repeat that process 3 or 4 times and the alarm would disengage. But nothing seems to be working. Any ideals?
