16" To 17" Rim Change

Have 2500hd 4x4 Duramax. Want to change 16" rims to 17" Need to know the backspace and offset on stock 16x6.5 rims. By measuring came up with 4 7/8 backspace with 30mm offset. New rims will 17x8 with 5 1/4 backspace and 19mm offset. Changing from 245/75-16 to 265/70-17. Will put keys in front end for appearance. Using the offset calculator should be 8mm less on inner and plus 30 on outer. 17's should only put me 3.7% off but I read I can reprogram the truck to compensate for this. Need help to verify numbers as I will order rim/tire package online due to the savings. Looking at the Ultra Wheel rogue 17x8 8 lug. Thanks.
