Replace stock sub in 02 Tahoe?

Anybody swap out the stock subwoofer in their Tahoe or Yukon with an aftermarket one?  Does it bolt right in?  How does it sound?  I want to do this, but want recommendations.

Hey, i replaced my stock sub with a 8" JL AUDIO W3-D2.  IT ROCKS THE TRUCK.  I powered it with an mtx 300 watt amp.  (also replaced speakers w/ Boston Acoustics).  DEFIATELY WORTH IT.  Fit right into the factory location.  You will need a hefty amount of sound dampening material inside that factory location.  It may sound like it woud be a weak sound because its only 1 8, but it truly isnt.  IT CAN REALLY HIT (even though aint QUITE as much as if i had 2 12s ).  If you want a 10, but still keep the stock look, you can get a stealth box because they have a 10w3 in it.  I heard its good, but dont have one, so i'm only going on word of mouth.

Do our 9-speaker Tahoe's have an amplifier already?  When you put in an aftermarket amp, do you replace what's there, or is it just an add?

good question.  To be quite honest, i have no clue.  I didnt do the install.  But you WILL want to add an amp no matter what.  If you dont have an aftermarket amp you will put too much stress on the new system, and it will blow out.
