Tahoe Rear View Mirror Loses Power

My entire mirror loses power intermittently. Seems like its only when truck os moving.

 

I see the green power light go off, the compass resets and everythiung

 

Really annoying.

 

I checked the plug on the back of mirror, its fine..

 

What else is on this circuit?

The end at behind the brakes in the firewall?

 

if that - then yes - I unplugged it and plughed it in and even tried wiggling it... nothing changed from THAT source anyhow

ok...so it comes on, than works for a while than dies??

Do you have a friend that you can swap mirrors with to see if its just your mirror??

Its on 99.99% of the time, and it loses power for a split second - Juuuust long enough to basically reset the thing.

 

No :crazy: no one has the same one I can swap for a test.

Its on 99.99% of the time, and it loses power for a split second - Juuuust long enough to basically reset the thing.

 

No :crazy: no one has the same one I can swap for a test.

 

Damn it mike....get some friends...LOL

 

sounds like something is overheating....your not noticing anything else going out on you are you??

I'll have to look to see if I can find whats on that circuit.

I did just put a new battery in the truck lasting But all terminals are clean and tight.

the weight sensor from the passenger seat is in with the mirror, try getting someone to go for a ride with you and see if it goes off...

 

Other than that....a Chilton's manual....to see what else is on that circuit....I cant find anything in the way of diagrams....I don't have anything with me here...I'm not at home.
