Steering Squeek With New Iss

So i installed the NAPA intermediate steering shaft to solve my "klunking" well the klunking is gone but now my steering wheel "squeeks" when i turn the wheel. i sprayed some white lithium greese up the shaft in the boot on the firewall, as well as the knuckle where the steering wheel meets the shaft, with no prevail, any tips?

There is a white plastic bushing that has a bearing in it pressed into the column tube. You pushed the intermediate shaft through it when you put the shaft back in to the steering tube.

 

This is also a problem with the intermediate shaft making a noise, GM introduced a new and improved bushing a while back. It will be colored blue. I replaced both my shaft and bushing together and have had no issues. Only I used the updated GM shaft.

 

Not saying this is your problem but I would suspect this.

Hmm i think this is the rubbing noise / feeling i am getting in my truck. Is there a write up on the site or anywhere that you know of to show how to change this bushing?
