Another Newbie

Well, I am new to the forums here, found them while doing a search for throttle body bypass information, registered and here I am. I'll probably be doing more lurking than posting but will be sure to interject every now and again.

I own a few trucks right now, a '78 F-250, '90 Dodge Dakota and of course my '06 GMC Sierra. I've also owned a lifted '78 K5 Blazer and used a '87 S10 Blazer as a daily driver for a few months. The Ford and Dodge stay in Virginia while the Army has me in Louisiana.

Truth be told, I bought the GMC at a Ford dealership. My daily driver at the time was a '99 Nissan Sentra with a bad oil leak and I had spent two months training in Georgia with a roommate who drove a new F-150. With a new baby on the way I figured it was time for something bigger, something along the lines of a fullsize extended or crew cab truck that was gently used. Long story short, the salesman showed me the only used truck on the lot that fit my desires, a Polo Green crewcab SLT Z71 with tow package. I test drove it figuring I could never get it financed and an hour later was unloading the Nissan, nearly filling the bed of the truck with all the gear I had in the backseat. I went looking for a basic work truck and left in something almost as nice as the Escalades I worked on at the Cadillac dealership prior to enlisting.

So, two years later, here I am. The truck is as follows:

K&N filter

Throttle body bypass

Westin billet grill

Chrome Bug Guard

Westin nerf bars (removed as the wife wiped one out)
