Towing equipment?

Generally, I like Reese's equipment.  The one Reese thing I haven't had good luck with are their hitch balls.  They seem to scuff and get cut worse than other ones.  After several Reese chrome-plated balls I found a Bully brand ball which is made of solid stainless steel.  This one is holding up good and it's not rusting like the Reese ones do when the chrome scratches off.

All the Reese bars and electrical items I use have been very good quality.

Once again, I'm going to say the best bumper hitch you can get is the DMI system.  Comes as either a reciever hitch or as a bumper replacement with an integrated hitch (my choice, I don't trust receivers).  This hitch has springs which cushion the load laterally, taking all the pitching motion out of towing, as well as it makes hookup very easy as the hitch will move both sideways and rearward to line up exactly with the trailer.  Granted, I tow much different things than most of you (pin hitch, not ball) over different terrain than most (off road, not on road 75% of the time), but you can't beat this hitch.  Your truck will break long before the hitch will.  Would use a reciever hitch on the rig in my sig?  I don't want to, I want something strong for that, so a DMI finds its way under the back end.

Here is the Quic N Easy reciever hitch:

I've got a reese class 4 hitch on my truck.  Couldn't be happier w/ it.  It's strong and so far no rust on it.  Install was simple just bolted right up.  I had it on in about a 1/2 hour.
