Can someone tell me if the sierra fog lights have a seperate bracket or does the fog lights just bolt in?

Theres 3 little clips that pop right in. No tools required. If you go behind the bumper (below) theres 3 white pins, use pliers and "squish" the pins and push/pull fog lamp out.

kind of related question, is there a way to program the fogs to go on automatically when i turn on my headlights? or do you have to hit the button everytime the lights switch on?

Yes you can, I'm not gonna take credit for it, but cant remember the members name - Sierra Denali all whited out with oem 22s.

Take a wire of 16/18 gauge wire and solder in a 1n4005 diode, run it from your low beam 85 pin relay to your 85 pin fog lamp relay. And this will allow your fog lamps to turn on automatically when your low beams turn on, but will make the fog lamp button inside dis-functional BUT the fog lamps will remain on with your high beams!
