Newbie Question?

Hi, Guys.

 

I have searched the forum, but I can't find anything on this. This is my first GMC, and I have never noticed it on previous trucks. On the rear cornerpanel in front of the tirewell (on the body) there is a clear piece of plastic or tape...what the hell is it? There is a smaller piece on the other side towards the bumber end. Can I peel this off? Is it supposed to stay there?back

It's to help protect against stone chips. Personally, I'd leave it on.

I agree, keep them on. I took mine off because my truck is white and after a while the edges of the protective film started to get black and dirty, so you could see the outline of the film. On a dark truck like yours, you probably won't even notice.

 

If you decide to take them off, they come off easily.
