Passenger Presense Sensor

Is there a document anywhere that Explains the Passenger Presense Sensor in the Passenger Seat of these GM Trucks? My understanding is the 1500 Series Trucks with Dual Stage Airbags have this System and the 2500/3500 Trucks do not have the Passenger Presense Sensor in the Passenger Seat....thus no Passenger Air Bag Display in the Rearview Mirror or Overhead Console on the 2500 and 3500's..

Condition/Concern:

Some customers may question if their vehicle should have the following options:

 

Passenger Presence System (PPS)

Passenger air bag On/Off indicators

Passenger air bag On/Off switch

Passenger Seat Belt indicator

 

Recommendation/Instructions:

Below should help explain what each model is equipped with:

 

1500 ALL Models

Passenger Presence System (PPS) = YES, and is standard equipment (RPO AL0)

Passenger air bag On/Off indicators = YES, located in the overhead console

Passenger air bag On/Off switch = NO

Passenger Seat Belt indicator = YES, located in the overhead console

 

2500/3500 Regular and Extended Cab Models

Passenger Presence System (PPS) = NO, and NOT Available

Passenger air bag On/Off indicators = YES, located in the overhead console

Passenger air bag On/Off switch = YES, located in the lower glove box (RPO C99)

Passenger Seat Belt indicator = NO

 

2500/3500 Crew Cab Models

Passenger Presence System (PPS) = NO, and NOT Available

Passenger air bag On/Off indicators = NO

Passenger air bag On/Off switch = NO, and NOT Available

Passenger Seat Belt indicator = NO

 

Hummer H2
