Service Engine Soon Light

Recommended Posts

Posted

Just had an oil change and service engine light just came on. Its been cold here, think it 'may' be nothing to be concerned about?

You need to have the codes read to determine why the service engine light is on. It's not normal to have it come on after an oil change or because it's cold.

Thanks, I hate this ....truck has ran great, still does ....just the darn light came on last night. Thanks!

If you have an autozone in the area they will do it for free.

Could be an O2 sensor...that's a cheap fix....definitely need codes read....O'Reilly's can do it as well.

Since it's a 99, then I'd clean your MAF sensor and your throttle body, if nothing else, it needs it I'm sure. Reset the PCM and see if it comes back.
