Warning Light

So today I was driving to work and my traction control/ stabilatrac light came on and said it was turned off. Then it proceeded to say to service both of them. Then after work when I started my truck they did not come back on. I did not go to the dealer cuz they were not open. Any ideas why it would do this? Thanks for the help.

any funny driving characteristics or was it just the light coming on and going out? I would vote a sensor of sorts (ABS maybe)?

Nope. It was at highway speed around 70mph and the light stayed on. ABS light did not come on.

thats strange my wifes 07 tahoe did the same thing yesterday. stopped to eat restarted and the messages were gone

I swear these freakin trucks trip out sometimes, my ABS light came on yesterday. I was on the freeway on-ramp and went WOT and it came on, after I got to my destination and left the truck off for 5 min it was gone. Maybe it was a fluke of some sort.

Yeah I have no idea why this happened. But when I bring it in to get my new seat covers put on I am gonna ask them why it might have happened.

mine only did it the one time hasn't returned we'll see

It happened with me too. First cold morning of the year and it happens when I took it out of cruise at highway speeds. Did not come back after restarting in the work parking lot.
