Fuuny Sound When I Turn Steering Wheel

I have a very clean, very well taken care of 08 V-MAX. When I turn my steering wheel it makes a soft sound like it has dirt in the steering column or something. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for your help.

LOL...so do we all....its the rubber/plastic bushing in between the column and the wheel. If you have warranty left (ie under 36K miles/60K KM) you can bring it in and they will re-grease it for you...if your over...I have found that squirting some vinyl protectant like armor all (Black magic I have found best) makes it all but disappear. Or you can pull the wheel and grease it your self every so often, use a silicone based lube on the plastic bushing...if you have the rubber one, use Dow Corning 55 O-ring Lube.
