A Couple Of Quick Questions

I recently purchased a used 07 Vmax the original owner put some chrome stick on door handles (putco I am guessing). I dont really care for the look of them and am wondering how hard they are to remove.

will there be alot of 3M tape left on the handle?

will it remove the paint from the handles?

I googled it but didnt come up with anything

also he installed a chrome gas cap it does not seem to be a stick on if I go to the gm dealer can I get one already painted to match my black truck.

I also want to get rid of the chrome mirrors, from what I have read these are caps that snap in place, can I get the original ones from the dealer already painted or will they be the rough molded style?

The truck came with the 4x4 decal on the back I want to remove this also since the truck is 3 years old will the paint be faded? or will a little wax blend it nicely.

I know for the mirrors, the best thing to do would keep an eye out on eBay for a set already painted. If you go throught the dealer you ca only get them paint to match. Basically meaning you buy unpainted ones and go somewhere and have them painted. As for the handle covers I would think the best thing to do would be try and heat them a little and they should come off fairly easy. I dont know for sure but I wouldnt think they would be hard to remove. Not sure about the 4x4 decals. Nice truck BTW!

I ll answer just what I know/ 4x4 stickers can be removed with no problems.

I got painted mirrors for my 07 v max on ebay. I had the big trailering mirror stock and didn t like them. Just do a little research on here about swapping mirror compatability.

The trucks looks nice except for the chrome gas cap. The door handles don t look too bad.

Agreed

The stick on door handles don't look all that good imo. If they were the factory ones, then they look good to me. Nice looking truck. I pulled my 4x4 stickers off.. a little heat and patience, they come right off.
