Keyless Entry Fob Problem

Hi I am new here and looking for some advice thanks! Just bought a nice used 2004 silverado one ton diesel dually and have noticed the keyless entry fobs will only last a week or two with a new battery and then die...This seems to be happening with both the fobs...The previous truck owner was starting to have this problem before he traded the truck..I figure I will have to buy new fobs unless someone can recognize what this problem might be!

there is probably a short in the circuitry draining the battery. You could try cleaning it or just buy a new one.
