12v Accessory Ports

I have an '07 Sierra 2500HD. I'm having trouble with the accessory ports not working. The main one on the driver's side by the stereo works fine, but the passenger side one and the ones in the center console do not work. I've only tried a spot light in them but none of them seemed to work. What am I missing? Is there a seperate fuse somewhere or something or is it electrical gremlins??

Sounds like you blew the fuse on them. On my '05 Suburban, the power ports are fused differently; one is 20a and the other is 30a. Look in your owner's manual with the fuse cover off and you'll be able to track down which ones are bad. It doesn't take much to blow the smaller fuse; I think I was running an inverter that was powering my laptop and that's all it took.

There's another fuse for the other outlets. They call the one next to the driver something slightly different than the others in the service manual and they have seperate fuses.

One fuse is labeled accessory the other is labled lighter. One fuse is under the hood, the other in the fuse panel on the side of the dash.

Cool. I was hoping it was just a seperate fuse for those ports. I'll check it out and see what I come up with. Thanks guys.
