Door Sensor

I have an 09 Sierra 2500 ext cab. My truck thinks my drivers side door is open when it isn't. Is there a sensor in the latch or the door jam that I can check. Its a pain because I can't lock my truck or the alarm will go off. I've been didconnecting the battery the last couple nights so I'm able to lock it, but that doesn't help during the day.

I brought it to the dealer and this is a common problem with the nnbs trucks and GM has a bulletin out about it. It is caused be moisture getting into the latch. They have a new latch that is water resistant thay overnighted and put in. Just thought you guys may like to know this in case it happens to your truck.
