Fabtech Lift & Wheel Offsets...

Hello Everyone,

I am in the hopes of picking up a used 6" Fabtech off craigslist tomorrow if he get's back to me for $450. If not then I have to wait a little longer. I was reading through some of the older threads and read the STLAVSA had a fitment problem with his 20" Rockstars that had a +20 offset. I'm pretty set on the wheel that I want and it either comes in a +20 or +31 offset with a 5.54" bs, oh and they are a 20" wheel. I plan on running 35"x12.5" toyo mt's but want to run 37's if a 2.5" CCM leveling kit will allow that to work. The red truck that JAMESON posted in this thread http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...&hl=fabtech is what I eventually want to look like. I was wondering which offset will be the best fit for this setup. It will be going on my 05' crew cab. Thanks everyone...

u need less backspace to clear the spindle with wide tire. I ended up using 2" wheel adapters to get the clearance needed. They are working fine, but you wont need em.

that truck is the perfect size and stance if its the one i remember ill have to check the link

ok first off if your talking about the 2.5" ccm spacer that WILL NOT work on your truck because your 2005 has a torsion bar front suspension and the nnbs trucks such as Sam's (the red one posted by jameson) have front coilover suspensions. you will not be able to run 37's on a 6" kit on your '05 without some SERIOUS trimming INCLUDING METAL. also what are the width of the wheels you want to run? on the nbs trucks (your 2005 is a nbs) usually you want to keep around a 4.5" backspacing the 5.5" backspacing is probably going to rub on the knuckle. you have a lot of learning to do, i suggest checking out www.fullsizechevy.com or www.gmfullsize.com there is MUCH MUCH MUCH more info on lifted trucks there.

The width of the wheels are 8.5" and the CCM leveling kit I was talking about was their keys (forgot to mention that, sorry). i will diffenately check out those sites your recomend and see what I can pick up from there. Thanks

even with cranking the torsion bars 2.5" (which will give you terrible angles) i doubt you'll be able to clear 37's without some SERIOUS trimming. and as i said you should be around the 4.5" backspace mark.

Well, picked up the lift kit yesterday and the tires today. Just need to decide on a chrome or black wheel, but that's a different topic...
