What kind of performance loss I can expect putting a leveling kit on a 4.3L regular cab and at the same time, upsizing from 245/70 to 265/70 tires? I'm just worried that with the modest output of the V6, doing that would make it worse.

I know, I should have got a V8, but the deal on the V6 was too good to pass up.

Thanks.

Your speedometer will read 3-4% slower than your actual speed.

You will notice a slight dip in power. Nothing drastic - the tires are only about an inch taller.

Leveling kit shouldn't make much of a difference in performance.

Thanks for the input. Anybody else have any experience with it? Now I wonder how it would look keeping the stock 245's on it but leveling it? With such a small tire, it would probably look out of proportion.

I agree. I think my 265-70-17 look kind of small with leveling kit
