:uhoh: I have driven Z71 off road 4x4 ext cab trucks and i just recently drove a silverado 4x4 ext cab truck. a tremendous difference in the ride.

How would one make a Z71 ride smoother like the 4x4 version if you already own a Z71?

Sell the Z71 and buy a 4x4?

Yeah... its pretty simple... just take a look at your shocks and where they connect to. It should be fairly obvious how to remove them.

It's also an easy job for a shop to do and then you don't have to worry about breaking any bolts. Labor is usually an hour for all 4.

A lot of people like the Monroe Reflex shocks for a "smooth" ride.

The two other differences are the jounce bumpers and the sway bar.... but i'd start with the shocks since they have the most impact on ride quality. Some people prefer the "stiffer" (more responsive) feel of the offroad style shocks as opposed to the "softer" (more cushiony) ride of the on-road shocks.... ride quality is very subjective.
