Front Hub

I have a 2005 GMC 1500 that I had to replace the front hub($$$) because of bad bearings. Today I noticed that the inner shield/seal is missing. Is there a way to replace just this seal or, will I have to buy an new hub again. The new hub (with missing seal) has only ~3000miles. THANKS

Can you take it back to the place you bought it and have them exchange it for a new one with your seal? And are you talking about the seal inside the hub itself which actally seals the unit?

Yes , the inner seal, it was purchased from dealership. I guss I will have to call and see if it is covered.

It should be. Without that seal, your hub is open to dirt and grim to get in there and with doing so, will smoke your bearings. Trust me, having one go out while doing 80 on the freeway will result in a 35" tire ripping off your truck and taking numerous parts with it.
