Oil Usage?

I'm running into a weird problem here. I can smell burning oil after a drive, but I never see a stain on the driveway or any smoke coming from anywhere on the truck! I checked the dip stick and it looked like it had no oil on it! Weird since I just changed the oil about a month ago, and havent done much driving. So I added a quart and it seemed to bring the level up to where it should be on the stick. I drive it about 60km's and the dip stick is showing no oil again. The oil pressure was up when I added the quart, but its back down to 40 now. When I changed my oil last time I put in EOS, does that cause the oil to be very faint and thin on the stick? ANy ideas? Is it possible it lost that much oil with no stain? Or is the oil on the dip stick (really thin). the accurate reading.
