Differential Leak?

Have a 1985 GMC 4x4 Sierra that's leaking differential fluid (yellow-green fluid) out of the right front axle, down the spindle, and on to the tire.

 

I've had shops give estimates anywhere from $160-$520 for EACH side to replace inner and outer seals in the axle and differential. Where's the first place that I should attack to determine what the real problem is?

Replace the outers and call it good unless you're trying to do a rebuild. Axle seals are not that big a deal. $520... whoever gave you that number is on crack.

Maybe it was for every seal on 1 side of the truck.
