Cd Wont Eject

I have an 06 sierra with the stock single cd player but it wont let me eject the cd. When I puch the eject button it clicks a bunch of times almost sounding like its going to come out but then it just says CHECK CD but it wont let me take it out. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks

No, seriously I don't know. Maybe pull the fuse for the radio and let it sit for a short while then plug it back in and try again. If not it may be shot and need to be dismantled to retreive the CD. Hopefully someone else has some ideas.

This happened on my stock 08 player too. I could see that the cd was caught below the lip of the player. I used a butter knife to gently free the cd while it was trying to eject and had no other problems until I took the radio out to use as a door stop.
