I have 2009 GMC Sierra. I have heard it both ways- Some people say you will lose the oem blue tooth when you install an aftermarket head unit and some people say you wont. Has anyone installed an aftermarket head unit and the oem blue tooth still work?

I can't see why would would lose it. The bluetooth is through the Onstar Module and not the radio. All the radio does it make the sound go to the speakers. To add the OEM bluetooth you dont need to replace the radio, just the Onstar... I have aftermarket NAV with the GM-LAN interface and it works great in my 09 silverado. Onstar works no problem. So as long as you get the harness to keep your steering wheel controls, I can't see why it wouldnt still work to be honest with you. But with that being said.... I HAVE NO CLUE IF IT WORKS haha!!!! I have bluetooth with the NAV system and not OEM.

I used the PAC audio OS-4 unit to integrate my stereo with factory bluetooth AND XM radio. the steering wheel controls work, my factory XM not displays on my DIC, and my factory bluetooth goes through the front speakers just as advertised. The OS-4 plus the steering wheel controller (diff part num depending on brand of radio) made it super easy to install.
