6.2l Vs Duramax

My 6.0 hung with a chipped Dmax once... No factory dmax blows thick black smoke... so I'm sure a tuned 6.2 would easily kill a stocker Dmax. If you get the 6.2, go for the NHT max trailer package and pick up the 3.73's.

I've so far raced a Silverado VMAX with my Duramax and left him in the dust. Also was able to pull away from a New V-6 Tacoma that gunned it and I can tell you from first hand experience, those V-6 Tacoma's are FAST. (If you don't lift em) The D-Max may be slow off the line for the first 1-2 seconds but after that, watch out. I have a feeling a Stock D-Max will give a tuned 6.2L a good run for the money right up to the limiter.

You should also keep in mind that a simple performance tune for the D-Max can easily give the thing close to 50-100 more HP from what I am told. To see that kind of increase on the 6.2L, you'll need to consider a supercharger.

I have a built D max and a 07 procharged 1500 and you better not count out the D max because if someone know's how to spool it up and take off, it's good night right out of the hole for that other truck.

Yep, that is how it was in my 03' 12psi launch in 4wd, see you later!

What's your opinion in a race between a 2010 sierra/silverado 4wd 6.2l with a k&n cai and diablo programmer vs a 2010 silverado/sierra hd 4wd 6.6l stock?

My tuned 6.0 max package can beat a stock 09 d-max been there done that. So i assume a tuned 6.2 will be even faster. Your question was vs a stock dmax so not sure why everyone is posting about dmax's with programers.

My friend's 2500 Silverado D-max couldn't hang with my 5.3 6spd Tahoe let alone my Denali (which is 300lbs heavier than a Sierra Denali or Silverado).. Are you serious? My 6.2 would beat it by a mile.. and the faster i go the more it would pull. Go drive a 6.2 in anything then get back to us lol.. A chip'd D-Max would be a tight run with a Sierra or Silvy 6.2, probably beat my stock truck pretty good. Then if i were tuned/CAI/Exhaust i'm running a solid 13.7..
