Rear Bumper

Guy at the junkyard told me the rear bumper on a half ton and 2500hd are different but man do they look similar to me. I need one, complete, meaning black plastic and all. Chrome bumper I might add as well. From the half ton to the tahoe and burbs they all look the same. Anyone know this for sure?? Gmc and Chevy both look the same to me.

I have a 2002 GMC Yukon XL 1500 and a 2003 Suburban 2500, and both rear bumpers are identical. The truck and SUV bumpers only differ in that they have different top bumper pads, and the SUV bumpers have two small plates attached to the metal stamping under the pad to support the bumper pad near the outer ends.

Probably charges more for a 3/4 ton bumper.

I just put a bumper from an 04 chevrolet 3500 on my 01 1500. The bumper was identical except for the mounting brackets and the top bumper pads. I just reused my mounting brackets and trimmed the lip off the bumper pad (the lip is because the hd trucks frame are slightly taller than the 1500 series).
