Short Antennas

Anyone ever get a short antenna for their silverado or sierra? if so what kind and length. my stock antenna hits the top of our garage and it doesn't even have a leveling kit and tires on it yet so i need to find me a good short antenna. give me some input and pictures if you got em!

how good is your reception with that? and does it fit on your sierra without an adapter?

Shorty black billet antenna, and the reception is identical to OEM. About 90% of the music I listen to in the truck is radio.

where'd you get yours? and i wonder if you could just cut the stock in half and still get good reception?

I have a polished billet 10 inch antenna without any problems.

I cut mine on my cobra. Was simple and easy. Will do it to this truck also.

antenna delete ftw.

 

cheap/free if you have the right size bolt..

+1 on the antenna delete. i did it and looks way better. to fill the whole where the antenna once was replace the clip in plastic piece with an escalade platic clip in piece. i didn't but that would give it a little bit cleaner look.

I like the antenna delete option, just make sure you plug the hole so it looks nice and clean. I have not noticed any loss in reception.

The big antenna is just for AM/FM right? the black little guy on the roof is for XM?

how about just going to advanced auto parts or autozone and getting a short antenna...

 

thats what i did....looks great and it was only 7.99...works fine..
