csheatz Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Anyone running these without a lift? I have my torsion bars turned about 1.25". I know I can get 285/70's but I really want to get the 75's Also maybe a 295/70?
csheatz Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 On my 02 i ran 285/75/16 I think they are 1" smaller than the 285/75-17's
stewy_05 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I run 285/70/17's leveling kit and 3" BL and only rub on mud flaps when turn sharp. I think you will be good.

You are running 285/70's and are having rubbing issues? guys on here are running the same size tires as you with no suspension or body lift. Going on your info I would not be able to run the 285/75's with just a t-bar crank.
sab316 Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 With the new trucks I would say you might have some minor problems rubbing with that tire if any but with your still truck they fit the tires alot better.... I would think you would be fine fitting them.
Z'06 Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 295/70/17 fits with no problems on Tahoes & Suburbans with Ford keys and rear coil spacers, so it should be fine on trucks with Ford keys and larger rear blocks. The 285s and 295s are the most commonly upgraded tires on the Z71Tahoe-Suburban.com forum.
csheatz Posted March 26, 2010 Author Posted March 26, 2010 I think I am going get 2" lift blocks and keys before I get the tires. Its gonna suck if I get the tires and they dont fit. Either that or I will be setteling for 285/70's
Jimmyz Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I'm running 285/75R16's on my 2001 Suburban 2500 2wd with no rubbing problems. Runnung them on the stock alloy wheels.
csheatz Posted March 28, 2010 Author Posted March 28, 2010 Is 285/75/17 even a readily available size? Available through Nitto.
yellownick Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I was wondering the same thing about the 75s. What did you ever come up with?
