Question About The Aoem-gm1416 Loc

If I use this PAC harness, LOC, whatever you want to call it, Can I still use the rear speaker outputs from the stock headunit to power the factory rears?

Does the PAC actually use the front and rear speaker signals to get the two pairs of RCA outputs? I've heard people say they use two of these PAC's so they can fade. That tells me that the unit would only use one pair of speaker outputs to get the signal. Can anyone confirm this?

I want to be able to use the AOEM-GM1416 to get a signal for my amp for my front components and an amp for my subs and power the rears with the stock unit?

Is this possible or does the use of the AOEM-GM1416 take away the speaker signals??

Little confused how these things work...

That PAC unit goes inline between your HDU and the factory harness. Once installed it will leave all the factory outputs going where they go now plus gives you all 4 low level outs.

Like was stated above, it give 4 outputs through RCA jacks, but be forewarned: The chimes in the vehicle will be horribly loud due to the amplification. Until I replace my HU, I used the rear outputs with a Y cable to get signal for all four speakers and had no chimes at all. It was unbearable.

Yeah I understand that it gives you a pair of RCA outs but doesn't it use the factory speaker signals to accomplish this, therefore disabling the outputs of the headunit?? So its either use the factory radio or install the harness and use the RCA outs. Not install the harness, use the RCA outs and still use the headunit speaker outs.
